Yack brings nearly 20 years of experience in fundraising
FORT WORTH - Texas Christian University (TCU) has appointed seasoned fundraising executive Alex Yack as its new Deputy Athletics Director for Development, bringing nearly two decades of experience to this key leadership role.
"Alex brings a remarkable blend of experience, integrity and energy to TCU," said Mike Buddie, Director for Intercollegiate Athletics at TCU. "His proven track record in building strong donor communities and advancing the student-athlete experience makes him a tremendous addition to our team. We're thrilled to welcome him and his family back to Fort Worth."
Yack brings nearly 20 years of experience in athletic and academic fundraising to this leadership role. Most recently, he served as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development at Boston College, where he led strategic fundraising initiatives to advance the university's athletics mission. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Texas Tech University in senior development roles, including more than eight years with Texas Tech Athletics, where he built and led teams focused on annual giving and major gifts. Yack also held a development position at the United States Air Force Academy. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi and holds a master's in sports administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
In this new role, Yack will lead TCU Frog Club's comprehensive fundraising efforts, overseeing major and annual giving, stewardship, and donor engagement programs in support of Horned Frog student-athletes.
"I'm grateful to Mike Buddie, Don Whelan and David Nolan for the opportunity to serve TCU in this leadership role," said Yack. "Horned Frogs are committed to achieving excellence on the field, in the classroom and beyond. I'm excited to work alongside our passionate supporters to help make that happen."
Returning to Fort Worth is a homecoming for the Yack family. His wife, Jennifer, is a proud TCU alumna (Class of 2006) and the daughter of former TCU football letterwinner Alan Teichelman (Class of 1977). Together with their three children, Maisie, Maren and Court — the Yacks look forward to becoming active members of the Horned Frog community.
