2021 Outdoor
Competed in eight meets for TCU… Was on the winning 4x400 relay team at the TCU Invitational… Won both the Texas A&M Invitational and the Texas Invitational with the 4x400 relay team… Ran a personal-best time of 46.95 in the 400m at the Big 12 Championships… Placed sixth at the NCAA Division I West Preliminary Round in the 4x400 relay team… Qualified for the NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships in the 4x400 relay.
2020 INDOOR
Started the indoor season with a third place finish in the 4x400 meter relay accompanied by Andrews, Maketa, and Matiyenga with a time of 3:11.82 at the Reveille Invitational at College Station, Texas (Dec 7).
ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL
Bender comes to TCU from Allen HS, where he competed at the state and national level. As a member of Allen's 4X100, Bender finished fifth at the Texas state meet in 2017. Bender has qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in the 4X400, 4X100, 400m, and 200m, where he finished first, sixth, fourth, and second respectively. Bender closed out his senior season with district titles in the 200m (21.48) and 400m (48.42), followed by a regional title in the 400m (47.53). At the UIL Track and Field Championship, Bender ran 47.73 and finished fifth. During the indoor season, he ran at the Texas Tech Under Armour High School Classic where he set an indoor personal-best in the 200m with a 21.66 mark. His personal-bests in high school are 47.22 and 21.27 in the 400m and 200m.
