Competed mainly in the 4x400m and 400m… A consistent member of TCU’s 4x400m rotation, Ogwo earned Second-Team All-America honors at the NCAA meet... At the conference meet, TCU’s 4x400m relay won its second title of the 2017-2018 season… At the Texas Relay’s, TCU finished second with a 3:04.90 mark… Individually, Ogwo reached the NCAA West Prelims in the 400m… At the conference meet, Ogwo reached the 400m finals…
2018 INDOOR
In his first semester at TCU, Ogwo had an instant impact… Competing in the 4x400m with Derrick Mokaleng, Kevin McClanahan, and Jostyn Andrews, Ogwo earned First-Team All-America honors with a seventh place finish at the NCAA meet, won the Big 12 conference title, and broke a 34 year old school record with a 3:04.25 finish at the Texas Tech Shootout… Individually, Ogwo finished sixth in the 400m at the conference meet…
PRIOR TO TCU
Before joining the TCU track and field program, Ogwo competed for a year at the University of Iowa… As a Hawkeye, Ogwo competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x400m… As a member of Iowa’s 4x400m relay, Ogwo earned First-Team All-America honors both indoors and outdoors… During the outdoor season, Iowa’s 4x400m finished third at the NCAA meet, won the Drake Relays, and finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships… During the indoor season, Ogwo and the 4x400 finished fifth at the NCAA meet and second at the Big Ten meet…
