Opened the outdoor season with a win at the TCU Invitational in the discus (53.80m)... Recorded a season high 59.31m mark in the hammer throw at the Horned Frog Invitational... Punched his ticket to nationals with his best discus throw of the season at the NCAA West Region Preliminary Round (56.26m)... Wrapped up his freshman season in Oregon at the NCAA National Championships with a 21st place finish.

Participated in six meets in the weight throw in his first colligate season... Threw a season-high 18.32m at the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational... Had back-to-back sixth places finishes at the Charlie Thomas Invitational and Dunamis Sports Group College Classic with marks of 17.92m and 17.96m respectively.
