Patton, Brown Named United Soccer Coaches Defenders to Watch

Horned Frog duo begins preseason recognitions
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Coming off a historic season for the TCU women's soccer program, Morgan Brown and Cameron Patton were named United Soccer Coaches Defenders to Watch, the organization announced Monday.
The two individuals combined for 47 starts and appearances in 2025 for the Horned Frogs and served as vital pieces for a team that made its first College Cup in school history and recorded a 18-3-3 record on the year
Patton posted the second-most minutes on the pitch for TCU last season, playing a total of 2063. Listed on the roster as a defender, Patton also plays as a threat on the attacking side, giving the Frogs a dynamic end-to-end player on the field. For the year, the rising junior recorded four goals while also notching a team-lead eight assists.
Brown served as one of the most versatile pieces on the roster last season, playing 1907 minutes and fitting in at any position on the field. The Wylie, Texas, native recorded three goals in 2025, all off of headers, while tallying five assists.
The Frogs will begin their 2026 campaign on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m., as they will hit the road to take on Wisconsin. TCU's home opener is set for Aug. 16 against UTSA at 7 p.m.
