
Edmonds Named to Big 12 Starting Five

The junior forward recorded 26 points and 10 rebounds
FORT WORTH – Junior forward Xavier Edmonds was named to the Big 12 Starting Five on Monday following his performance against Kansas State on Saturday.
The transfer from Salt Lake Community College, Edmonds scored a career-high 26 points to go with 10 rebounds for his fifth-straight double-double. He made a career-high 9-of-10 shots from the field and made his only 3-point attempt. Edmonds scored six of the games' final seven points to win 84-82 over the Wildcats after trailing by 18 points in the first half.
It was the second Big 12 award for Edmonds, who was joined on the starting five by Big 12 Player of the Week Flory Bidunga (Kansas), Big 12 Newcomer of the Week AJ Dybantsa (BYU), Cameron Carr (Baylor) and Kingston Flemings (Houston).
Edmonds and the Horned Frogs host No. 5 Iowa State on Tuesday at 8 p.m. It will air on FS1.
