TCU grabs road victory over Eagles
DENTON, Texas – On a sunny Sunday afternoon, the TCU women's tennis team earned a 4-0 victory over North Texas at Waranch Tennis complex.
TCU (3-1) secured its third straight victory of the season with the win, and the Horned Frogs have posted a 12-0 scoring advantage over their opponents in the last three matches.
Only two sets were dropped on the day, and TCU was able to secure three efficient singles wins after quickly notching the doubles point to secure the sweep over North Texas.
This moves TCU's record against North Texas all time to 24-2, as the Frogs have extended their road record to 4-0 against the Eagles.
DOUBLES RUNDOWN
For the third match in the row, TCU was able to make quick work of the doubles point in dominant fashion. On court three, Cristina Ramos Sierra and Letizia Corsini defeated Giulianna Ciangherot and Ujin Batsukh, 6-2.
Moments later, Raquel Caballero Chica and Jennifer Jackon on cour one took down Lou Chalard and Lilly Schultz by the same score line to give TCU the 1-0 lead heading into singles action.
Tomi Main and Cayetana Gay were moments away from winning a court of their own, as the pairing was up 5-3 on court two before the doubles point was clinched by the Frogs

SINGLES RUNDOWN
Singles play started and finished the exact same for TCU as doubles play did, as the Frogs displayed pure dominance all around. A mix of returning a new production shined today, as two newcomers and one player on last year's squad secured singles wins for the Frogs.
Jackson got the party started, earning the first dual match victory of her career with a 6-2, 6-2 win on court three against Schultz.
Corsini secured her second singles win of the spring in as many appearances, as the senior posted a 6-3, 6-4 ledger over Batsukh to extend TCU's lead in the match to 3-0 with the clincher in sight.
The Frogs would find the clincher mere minutes after Corsini's win, as Main grabbed a two set triumph over Ciangherot, earning a 6-3, 6-3 win to give TCU the clinching point and ending the match on the spot.
Ramos Sierra and Gay were up on their courts and Caballero Chica was in a battle before the deciding point was secured by Main and the match concluded.
