
No. 8 TCU Opens Spring Slate Strong, Defeats No. 7 UC Davis, 14-4

Ninth consecutive victory for the Frogs at the annual meet at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo
FORT WORTH – Commencing its spring season, the eighth-ranked TCU equestrian team avenged a fall defeat with a 14-4 victory over No. 7 UC Davis on Thursday at John Justin Arena at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
This is 15th time TCU has competed at FWSSR, and the program now boasts a record of 13-2 overall at the event.
Earning MOP honors for TCU were Lily Muzzy in Fences and Piper Keller in Horsemanship.
TCU rolled out of the gates early, opening up a 7-3 lead after the Jumping Seat events. The success would continue for the Frogs in Western, taking a 7-1 advantage to secure the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Frogs started fast, taking four of the five Fences points to open up a 4-1 lead. Lily Muzzy, Lex Lipacis, Jordyn Scelsa and Lilly Goldstein all were the point scorers for TCU, and Muzzy earned her team-leading third MOP of the season.
TCU closed out the Jumping Seat events strong, posting a 3-2 win on the Flat to take a 7-3 lead into the break. The wins were earned by Hanna Dolan, Victoria Zahorik and Goldstein, and it marked the first career win for Dolan.
Reining went to the Frogs 3-1, giving the home team enough points to secure the meet before the final event began. Anna Clausen, Cassie Hacking and Lannie-Jo Lisac all earned TCU points during the event, and Clausen win marked her first career victory.
Closing out the meet, the Horned Frogs did not surrender a point and took Horsemanship 4-0. Earning the victories were Tatum Keller, Calla Thomas, Piper Keller and Peyton Statt, with Piper Keller earning MOP accolades. Sydney Feager drew her point during the event.

TCU has a short turnaround before hitting the road for the first time in 2026 to face South Dakota State and Delaware State in Brookings, S.D., on February 6 & 7.
