The Horned Frogs will visit South Bend in 2026
FORT WORTH – TCU will host another Power 4 team in nonconference play this season when Notre Dame visits Schollmaier Arena on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025.
It will be the second time ever and the first time since Jan. 13, 1980 that the Fighting Irish will play in Fort Worth. Notre Dame leads the all-time series 5-0 with the last meeting coming on March 18, 1997, in South Bend, Ind. TCU will then play at Notre Dame on Dec. 5, 2026.
The history in the series is tied to TCU's head coach. Jamie Dixon's 1987 Southwest Conference Championship team lost a one-point game to Notre Dame, 58-57, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Charlotte, N.C.
The game will take place less than a month after TCU hosts possible preseason top 10 Michigan on Friday, Nov. 14. Other 2025 NCAA Tournament teams TCU will face this season are Arizona, Baylor, BYU, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas and Texas Tech. Those interested in season ticket information should contact the TCU Ticket Office.
Entering his 10th season as TCU's head coach, Dixon's squad returns nine players and welcomes seven newcomers.
The complete schedule and start times will be announced at a later date.
