
Track and Field Wraps Up Regular Season

Burke, Crockett and Gray earn event wins
FORT WORTH – TCU track and field competed in its final meet of the regular season, earning five event wins on its home track at the Lowdon Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Seniors Iyana Gray and Kashie Crockett led the way for the Horned Frogs. Gray won the 100m dash with a personal best time of 11.08 which also ranks seventh nationally this season. In the 200m Crockett secured the win in his final collegiate race at home. The senior posted a time of 20.81 to grab the victory. TCU also saw event wins from both the men's and women's 4x100m relays, and Stone Burke won the men's 3000m steeplechase.
TCU opened he meet with a pair of top five 5000m runs from Gabby Martin and Olivia Andrews on the women's side and Tate Underwood for the men. The Distance Frogs continued to shine with Anastacia Gonzales picking up a pair of third place runs in the 1500m and 800m.
In the 400m, TCU's Ronnie Kendrick recorded a PR for the second straight week. His time of 46.15 was good for second overall. Tia Williams also grabbed a runner-up finish in the 400m on the women's side, posting a 54.04 mark.
In the field events, Ben Kirbo (pole vault) and Samantha Callaway (shot put) each locked up third place finishes in their respective events.
The Frogs are back in action at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Lawrence, Kansas, on May 15-17.
