FORT WORTH – TCU track and field wraps up its regular season this weekend, hosting the Horned Frog Invitational on Saturday, May 2, at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex.
The meet marks the Frogs' final tune up before the Big 12 Outdoor Championships as well as Senior Day for the Class of 2026. TCU will honor 17 student-athletes for their contributions in Purple at 10 a.m. CT during the meet.
Also racing at the Payton Jordan Invitational this weekend are Georgia Scott and Mohamed Kowa. The distance duo is slated to compete out west in Stanford, California. Scott will race the 800m at 8:33 p.m., and Kowa will run the 1500m at 9:41 p.m.
So far this season, the women have two individuals ranked in the top 25 in their events as well as the No. 5 ranked 4x100m relay squad. Tia Williams boast the No. 15 400m hurdles time nationally, and Scott owns the No. 22 1500m. For the men, Jayden Douglas and Kowa sit in the top 25 in the country. Douglas, the 2026 Penn Relays Champ in the 400m hurdles, is ranked 10th, and Kowa is No. 14 nationally in the 800m.
Competing this weekend at home, it will be one of the final chances for the Frogs to lock in top rated times before the NCAA Regional Meet later this month.
