Horned Frogs return to Keene Trace Golf Club to begin postseason run
FORT WORTH – TCU returns to the site of its first team title in 2024-25 looking to punch its ticket to the NCAA Championships.
The Horned Frogs begin play at the NCAA Lexington Regional on Monday at Champion Trace at Keene Trace Golf Club.
The 54-hole stroke play event takes place over three days. The top five teams and highest-placing individual on a non-advancing team qualify for the NCAA Championships, which run from May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
TCU was awarded the No. 3 seed in the 12-team field. The Horned Frogs were tabbed 15th in the final regular season Scoreboard team rankings. Joining TCU in Lexington, in order of seeding, are Florida State, USC, Vanderbilt, Kansas State, Georgia Southern, Pepperdine, Louisville, Miami, Western Kentucky, Morehead State and Fairleigh Dickinson.
The Horned Frogs' lineup will feature No. 49 Camille Min-Gaultier, No. 80 Sofia Barroso Sá, No. 83 Kirstin Angosta, No. 89 Meagan Winans and Gracie McGovern. TCU has entered the five-player contingent in all seven of its spring tournaments and in 10-of-12 overall.
The quintet first played together at Keene Trace in TCU's second event of the season, the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational, on Sept. 8-10. The Horned Frogs shot a seven-over 871 and won by a 12-stroke margin. TCU played even-par golf over the final 36 holes and led following the conclusion of each round.
Angosta finished as the outright runner up with a score of three-under 213 while Barroso Sá tied for third at even-par. Four Frogs posted at least one under-par round. Min-Gaultier and Winans carded a one-under 71 in round two and round three, respectively.
Behind the fivesome, TCU has won three times entering the NCAA Tournament. The Horned Frogs have produced a program-best season scoring average of 289 and notched all-time records for par-or-better rounds (14), top-five finishes (nine), low tournament total (830) and low-54 vs. par (-34).
TCU is aiming to reach the final site for the third time in the last four seasons. The program notched consecutive NCAA Championships berths in 2022 and 2023.
The Course – Champion Trace at Keene Trace Golf Club – Par 72 / 6,175 Yards
The Champion Trace course at Keene Trace Golf Club was designed by world renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills and built in 1987 by Tom Heilbron. Since its inception, Champion Trace has been rated as one of the best courses in the state of Kentucky. The course has hosted the ISCO Championship, formerly the Barbasol Championship, annually since 2018. Champion Trace was also the site of the 2019 NCAA Division III Golf Championship as well as multiple men's NCAA Regionals and men's and women's SEC Championships.

NCAA Tournament History
- TCU won the 1983 NCAA D1 Women's Golf Championship. The tournament was held at the University of Georgia Golf Course and was the second NCAA-sanctioned event to determine a national champion.
- The Horned Frogs finished as the national runner-up in 1982 in the first-ever NCAA Women's Golf Championship.
- The 1983 squad was the first TCU women's sports team to win an NCAA Championship. The triumph is one of eight NCAA team championships in TCU Athletics history and one of five women's titles.
- The title-winning team was inducted into the TCU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023 to commemorate the 40-year anniversary of its championship.
- TCU has reached the NCAA Championships in 14 seasons: 1982, 1983, 1984, 1989, 1991, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2022 and 2023.
- The Horned Frogs' best finish in Regional play occurred in 2007, when the program placed third at the NCAA Central Regional at University of Michigan Golf Course.
- TCU has finished fifth-or-better at Regionals five times, most recently notching back-to-back fourth place finishes in 2022 and 2023.
- The Frogs ascended three spots from seventh and into a solo fourth in the final round of the 2023 NCAA Raleigh Regional. TCU fired a two-under 286 in round three – the second-lowest round score of any team in the field – to book its ticket to the final site.
- TCU set its low-tournament record in Regional play in 2023, shooting a two-over 866.
- Seven individuals have placed inside the top 10 of the final leaderboard at Regionals for TCU. Lois Lau and Caitlin Macnab tied for sixth and eighth, respectively, in the Frogs' 2023 visit to Raleigh.
- Valentine Derrey owns TCU's NCAA Regionals individual records for low-18 (67) and low-54 (210). She produced marks at the 2008 NCAA Central Regional at UT Golf Club, finishing third at three-under.
- Barroso Sá advanced to individual play at the 2023 NCAA Championships her freshman year. She tied for 37th (+2, 290).
- Barroso Sá was one of four players to place inside the top 25 at the NCAA Raleigh Regional in 2023. She tied for 24th after carding a three-over 219.
- Barroso Sá competed as an individual last season at the NCAA Bryan Regional. She became one of four individual qualifiers in program history alongside Lois Lau (2024), Greta Bruner (2018) and Sanna Nuutinen (2014).
- Winans tasted the NCAA Tournament as a freshman at Oklahoma, teeing it up for the Sooners in the 2022 NCAA Albuquerque Regional.
- TCU has won 55 all-time team championships, 21 of which have come under the leadership of Angie Ravaioli-Larkin.
- Ravaioli-Larkin is in her 31st season as the head coach of TCU women's golf. A lifelong Texan, she assumed the program helm in the fall of 1994 and is the longest-tenured head coach at TCU and across all Big 12 women's sport programs.
- Ravaioli-Larkin has become a fixture within the TCU community and the history of its athletics department. She has worked with six athletic directors and coached in five conferences.
- Ravaioli-Larkin-led teams have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 28 of 31 seasons.
- TCU has reached the NCAA Championships nine times under Ravaioli-Larkin.
- TCU is enjoying a streak of 23 consecutive seasons with NCAA postseason representation.
- TCU has claimed five conference championships spanning three different leagues under Ravaioli-Larkin.

- The 2024-25 TCU women's golf team is the first in the Ravaioli-Larkin era to win three team championships in the same season. - TCU is on pace to post the best season scoring average in program history. The Horned Frogs have produced a round-by-round average of 289 across 11 tournaments. The 2021-22 Horned Frogs squad currently holds TCU's season record (290.3).
- TCU recorded its 14th round of par-or-better in round two of the Big 12 Championship on April 16, shooting an even-par 284 at The Clubs at Houston Oaks. The 14 par-or-better rounds overtook the 2021-22 TCU team's haul of 13 for first on the program record book. Notably, though TCU did not win the tournament, the Horned Frogs were the only team to par the course over the three-round affair.
- TCU is 30 birdies shy of breaking its single-season record (508), set by the 2021-22 team.
- TCU has shot under par in six rounds during the spring portion of its schedule and 10 times overall.
- The Horned Frogs have notched a combined 19 top-10's and 33 top-20's entering the NCAA Tournament.
- TCU has placed five players in the top 20 of the individual leaderboard in three events.
- TCU has finished no worse than sixth in any tournament.

- Always a point of emphasis, TCU's birdie game has blossomed in 2024-25. The Frogs' seven-player roster averages 43.5 per tournament (479 total).
- The Frogs tallied a tournament-leading and season-high 58 birdies in their team championship at the Chevron Collegiate. TCU led the Collegiate Invitational at GCC field with 51 on their way to shooting a four-under 860 and finishing as the outright runner-up. TCU birdied 53 holes in its Jim West Challenge championship and bagged a tournament-leading 39 birdies on their way to the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational team title. At the Carmel Cup, TCU carded 29 of its 42 birdies over the final two rounds.
Camille Min-Gaultier
- Min-Gaultier was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year on Thursday. She is the sixth player in program history to receive the accolade, joining a standout list of program alumnae that includes 2026 U.S. Solheim Cup captain Angela Stanford (1997, WAC) and 2020 Olympian Sanna Nuutinent (2011, MWC).
- A product of La Llonde-les-Maures, France, Min-Gaultier leads TCU in season scoring average (72.2), sub-70's (nine), low-18 (65) and low-54 (203). She is also tied for the team-lead in counters (29-32), par-or-better rounds (16) and top-10's (four).
- Min-Gaultier has finished as the individual runner up three times this season, including back-to-back second place finishes at The Chevron Collegiate and MountainView Collegiate.
- She has finished even or under par in 10 of 18 rounds and posted six sub-70's this spring.
- Min-Gaultier sports a spring season scoring average of 72.
- Min-Gaultier recorded the best low-54 hole total by a freshman in program history at the Chevron Collegiate, shooting a 13-under 203 to finish as the outright runner up. She came one stroke shy of matching the Horned Frogs' all-time record for low-54 vs. par.
- She has been TCU's top finisher in a team-leading four events, including three of the Frogs' last six tournaments.
- Min-Gaultier has cracked the top-20 of the individual leaderboard in eight of her last nine starts dating back to a T2 at the Jim West Challenge on Oct. 21. She has placed no worse than 25th this season.
- Min-Gaultier has ascended from a final fall ranking of No. 126 in the Scoreboard rankings to 49th entering the NCAA Tournament.
- The junior has turned in a counter in 92 of her 96 career rounds played. She has earned the start in every tournament (34) since arriving in Fort Worth in 2022.
- Barroso Sá ranks fourth in program history in career par or better rounds (40).
- She has tallied 13 sub-70 rounds across her three-year tenure as a Horned Frog, which are the fifth-most all-time by any TCU player.
- From Belmonte, Portugal, Barroso Sá is on pace to become TCU's career birdies leader. She has carded 279, putting her 111 shy of breaking Lois Lau's record of 389.
- Barroso Sá has finished in the top-20 in 16-of-34 (.471) career events.
- Barroso Sá has delivered a team-best eight top-20's this season.
- She earned Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team honors for the second time in her career in April. Barroso Sá tied for 10th at five-over 218. She parred a tournament-leading 46-of-54 holes.
- Barroso Sá won the Barbara Nicklaus Cup individual title as a freshman in 2022-23. She is the only Horned Frog freshman to win a tournament in the last six seasons dating back to 2018.
- Angosta won the Jim West Challenge on Oct. 22, shooting a 10-under 206.
- She was tabbed Big 12 Golfer of the Month for October of 2024.

- From Richardson, Texas, Winans has delivered a counter in 87 percent (54-62) of her career rounds played as a Horned Frog.
- She was graded the No. 24 overall player and No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas in the class of 2021. Winans was the 2021 TX UIL 6A runner-up and finished in the top five at every high school tournament she competed in.
- McGovern tied for 10th (+1, 214) at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate for her first career top-10. She led the 60-player field in par-3 scoring (2.91, -1) and shot a two-under 69 in the final round.
- She produced TCU's best score over rounds two and three in the Carmel Cup. McGovern shot a four-over 148 over the final 36 holes on her way to a tie for 20th at Pebble Beach.
- McGovern the world No. 9 junior amateur golfer in 2023 and was ranked as high as seventh in the Rolex Junior Rankings that same year.
- The freshman carded signed consecutive scorecards of two-over 73 over the final 36 holes of the Big 12 Championship, the third-best aggregate score on the team.
- McGovern notched a top-20 in four of her first six events.
