TCU returns to postseason play on Monday
FORT WORTH – TCU will begin postseason play at 8:25 a.m. on Monday in the first round of the NCAA Regional at Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala.
The tournament will consist of three rounds over three days with the goal of placing in the top five in order to advance to the NCAA Championship, May 22-29, at the LaCosta Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.
The Horned Frogs will go with the lineup of Joe Pagdin, Jack Beauchamp, Toby Wilt, Charlie Wylie and Hudson Wilt. Ethan Dial is available as a possible substitute. TCU will be paired with Purdue and Little Rock in the first round off hole No. 1.

THE COURSE – Par 72 | 7,607 yards
Situated on 225 acres of beautiful rolling hills and woodlands, Auburn University Club boasts of an 18-hole, 7,326-yard championship golf course that surrounds the 25-acre Yarbrough Lake, while partly bordered by Saugahatchee Creek. The course was officially opened in 1999, and is set against a backdrop of magnificent trees, wetlands, creeks, and streams, while its prominent natural water features provide a vital and challenging course for golf enthusiasts. Designed by former Auburn golfer Bill Bergin, the course was constructed with the intention of hosting NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) and other championship golf tournaments.
Bergin returned in 2022 to renovate Auburn University Club. The renovation included new Tift Eagle greens, 12 new tee boxes, and 12 new bunkers. With beautiful Tift Eagle greens set amidst a balanced mix of chipping areas, bunkers, roughs and fairways, the course may be challenging but is playable and welcoming for all levels of golfers.
TEAM/PROGRAM NOTES
- It is the 34th straight season that TCU has had representation in postseason play.
- It is the first time since 2023 that the Horned Frogs have qualified as a team for a regional. The 2023 appearance came at Auburn University Club where the team finished ninth.
- Joe Pagdin is the only play with postseason experience. His Florida Gators team finished fifth in the 2021 regional in Cle Elum, Wash. Pagdin was 7-over and finished 39th as a freshman.
- TCU is ranked No. 50 in the latest national rankings. Topping the TCU individual ranks is Pagdin at No. 119.
- Including individuals, TCU has had a different top finisher in each of the last five tournaments.
- Freshman Charlie Wylie is the only player to have made the TCU lineup in every tournament this season. He finished 23rd at the Big 12 Championship.
- Pagdin leads TCU in score vs. par at 0.01. He finished tied for seventh at the Big 12 Championship, earning a spot on the Big 12 All-Tournament Team.
- After not competing in the first three tournaments, freshman Hudson Wilt has appeared in the last seven and was second at the Mountaineer Invitational one month ago.
- Junior Toby Wilt has placed in the top 25 in each of the last two tournaments including a 23rd place finish at the Big 12 Championship. He is shooting 0.07 vs. par.
- TCU is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship after being seeded 10th.
