
Frogs Add Pierre to Backcourt

Former Providence guard averaged 12.3 points and 3.2 assists last season
FORT WORTH – TCU men's basketball added another experienced player to its backcourt with the signing of Jayden Pierre.
The 6-2 guard played at Providence during the past three seasons totaling 781 points over 97 games, including 63 starts. He has one year of college eligibility remaining.
As a junior last season, Pierre averaged 12.3 points and a team-best 3.2 assists. He scored in double figures 23 times, including a season-high 24 at UConn. Pierre made multiple 3-pointers in a game 19 times, including a season-best five threes on two occasions. From the free throw line, Pierre made 79.4 percent of his attempts.
As a sophomore, Pierre started all but one game and scored 9.5 points and 3.2 assists. His season-high 21 points were scored against Boston College.
Pierre attended Long Island Luther High School and averaged 13.6 points and 2.8 assists as a senior in 2021-22. He ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 1 player in New Jersey. Pierre also ranked as a top 40 guard nationally according to ESPN.com, 247Sports.com and Rivals.com.
Pierre will join transfer Brock Harding and fall signees Xavier Edmonds and Kayden Edwards as newcomers for the 2024-25 season.
