
TCU Finishes Fourth at Big 12 Championship

Barroso Sá earns All-Tournament team honors for second time in her career
HOCKLEY, Texas – TCU fell one stroke short of claiming its first Big 12 Championship on Thursday at The Clubs at Houston Oaks.
The Horned Frogs placed a solo fourth at 20-over 872, missing out on joining a three-way tie for first alongside Arizona, Arizona State and Oklahoma State, who finished plus-19.
TCU began the day in third place and three shots back of tournament-leader Oklahoma State. The Frogs opened up a two-stroke lead on the Cowgirls through as they approached the 15th tee box sitting 14-over. The Frogs were a combined plus-eight across their final four and finished round three with a score of 294 (+11).
Arizona claimed the team title in a five-hole aggregate playoff, defeating Arizona State by one stroke. The Wildcats finished with 20 strokes, compared to 21 for the Sun Devils and 22 by the Cowgirls.
Sofia Barroso Sá earned Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team honors after tying for 10th at five-over (218). Barroso Sá parred a tournament-leading 46-of-54 holes. The junior has now received the accolade in two of her three seasons as a Frog. She tied for sixth as a freshman at the event in 2022 at the Dallas Athletic Club.
Camille Min-Gaultier concluded her first go-around at the league's flagship event tied for 14th and one stroke behind Barroso Sá. She sat two-under (140) and was the co-leader through 36 holes.
Kirstin Angosta, Meagan Winans and Gracie McGovern all tied for 25th (+10, 223).
Angosta fired a team-leading plus-one (72) in round three. She turned in a one-under 35 on the back nine. The strong finish had TCU in position to challenge for the title. She was the first Horned Frog to tee off.
McGovern carded a 73 for the second consecutive round.
Winans played even-par golf over her first 11 holes and was knocking on the door of the top-10. Her efforts vaulted her into a tie for 13th at the time
Thursday's showing put a bow on one of the Frogs' greatest regular seasons. TCU notched its third-best showing at the Big 12 Championship in 13 seasons of conference affiliation. The performance in south Texas signified TCU's ninth top-five team finish in 11 events in 2024-25. The Frogs bagged three team championships – their most-ever in a season under head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin – and ascended as high as 13th in the Scoreboard team rankings.

TCU will learn its NCAA Regional Championships destination on Wednesday during the NCAA D1 Women's Golf Championship Selection Show. The telecast will air at noon on the Golf Channel. TCU is projected as a 3- seed or 4- seed by virtue of its No. 16 Scoreboard ranking.
The Horned Frogs will make their 28th NCAA Tournament appearance in 31 seasons under Ravaioli-Larkin when they hear their names called. TCU has reached the NCAA Championships nine times in the Ravaioli-Larkin era, most recently notching consecutive appearances in 2022 and 2023.
