Noah Reynolds leads TCU with 16 points
FORT WORTH – Three Baylor free throws in the final 2.2 seconds proved to be the difference in TCU's 61-58 loss to the Bears on Tuesday.
The Horned Frogs (16-14, 9-10) trailed by 11 points, 56-45, with 7:04 to play. TCU then went on a 13-2 scoring run to tie the Bears (18-12, 10-9) 58-58 with 28 seconds remaining. The tying bucket came on a tough Trazarien White jump shot in the point.
Vasean Allette committed his fifth foul on Robert Wright, which sent him to the free throw line for a 1-and-1 opportunity. The two free throws gave the Bears a 60-58 lead with 2.2 seconds to play.
The inbounds pass was thrown nearly the length of the court by Jace Posey but went off the fingertips of Ernest Udeh Jr. The game's leading scorer, Norchad Omier went 1-of-2 from the line after being fouled with one second on the clock. Omier finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
TCU won the rebounding battle 37-32, but shot 34.5 percent from the field, its lowest at home this season. Baylor shot 44.0 percent from the field.
Noah Reynolds led the Frogs with 16 points and added four assists. White finished with 11 points and had a season-high seven rebounds.
TCU will conclude the regular season on Saturday at Colorado. Tip time is 3 p.m. CT and will air on ESPN+.
TEAM NOTES
- TCU dropped to 88-106 all-time against Baylor and 45-46 against the Bears in Fort Worth.
- It was the seventh-straight meeting in the series that has been decided by 10 or fewer points.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- Noah Reynolds led TCU with 16 points. It was his 16th game in double figures and 10th time lead the Frogs in scoring.
- Reynolds was 3-of-10 from 3-point range. The three makes tied a season high. The 10 attempts were the most of his career.
- Vasean Allette tied or led the team in assists for the sixth-straight game with four. Reynolds also had four assists.
- Trazarien White reached double figures in points for the 13th time this season with 11.
- White had a season-high seven rebounds.
- Freshman Micah Robinson was 1-of-2 from 3-point range. It was his third-straight game with a made three.
- Freshman David Punch was 5-of-5 from the free throw line, both career highs.
