TCU is back in action on Sunday against Kansas State
FORT WORTH - The TCU women's tennis team fell to Oklahoma State, 4-2 on Friday night at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Oklahoma State clinched the doubles point but the Horned Frogs claimed two singles courts.
The Rundown
The No. 18 doubles pair in the latest ITA rankings, Jade Otway and Isabel Pascual fell to the No. 39 ranked duo of Anastasyia Komar and Rose Nijkamp, 6-1 on court one.
The Cowgirls clinched the doubles point on court three as Gracie Epps and Melisha Ercan took down Raquel Caballero and Tomi Main, 7-5.
In singles, the Cowgirls extended their lead to 2-0 as Kylie Collins took down Pascual, 6-0, 6-0 on court three.
The Frogs responded as Raquel Caballero earned a ranked win over No. 81 Komar in straight sets winning 6-4, 6-3.
Maya Drozd tied it up for the Frogs she earned her first career ranked win over No. 104 Marcela Lopez in straight sets as well as she won, 7-6(5), 6-4 on court six.
The Cowgirls would claim courts five and four to clinch the match.
