
Rifle Earns 19th Consecutive NCAA Championships Berth

The 2025 NCAA Championships will be held in Lexington, Ky.
FORT WORTH – The TCU rifle team earned its 19th consecutive trip to the NCAA Rifle Championships after another outstanding regular season campaign. TCU secured its NCAA berth with a strong performance at the NCAA Qualifier against Air Force, posting an aggregate score of 4,733.
The defending National Champions will be seeking their fifth NCAA Championship March 14-15 at the Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Ky. TCU enters the NCAA Championships following another strong season, finishing with a team aggregate average of 4,727.35, ranking fourth nationally. The Horned Frogs' air rifle and smallbore squads both rank fifth in the country, with average scores of 2,381.50 and 2,345.85, respectively.
Led by standout performer Katie Zaun, the Frogs aim to build on their championship legacy, having previously won four NCAA team titles (2010, 2012, 2019, 2024) and multiple individual and discipline championships. Zaun, ranked No. 2 nationally in smallbore and No. 3 in air rifle, headlines a talented TCU lineup that also features plenty of experience.
Hogan brings past championship experience, having competed in two during her career. She ranks among the top 30 nationally in both disciplines. A quartet of freshmen, Marissa Fedora, Christina Hillinger, Rylie Passmore and Ziva Swick, have served as counters at various points during the season. Micah Hames has had a fantastic spring campaign, setting career highs in both disciplines.
Alaska Fairbanks, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Murray State, Georgia Southern, and Air Force round out the field of eight.
