
Conner Breaks Single-Season 3-Point Record in Win Over Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. – Playing near the heartbeat of her home city, Madison Conner pitched a perfect homecoming.
Conner scored 22 second half points to lead No. 10 TCU to a wire-to-wire 82-66 victory over Arizona State on Wednesday at Mullett Arena.
The Chandler, Ariz. native drilled four 3-pointers out of the intermission, including three in the fourth quarter. Her final deep ball came with 36 seconds remaining. It was Conner's 101st in the 2024-25 campaign and broke her school record for most 3-pointers in a season.
Conner's exploits lifted TCU (25-3, 13-2 Big 12) to its fourth straight win and kept the Horned Frogs level with No. 19 Baylor atop the Big 12 standings. TCU tied its program record for total wins in a season.
All five starters scored in double figures for the Frogs.
Sedona Prince finished with 17 points and nine rebounds. Hailey Van Lith, Donovyn Hunter and Agnes Emma-Nnopu pitched in 10 points apiece.
Van Lith flirted with a triple-double late, padding her final stat line with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Hunter matched the Lieberman Award finalist for the game high in dimes.
TCU took a 42-35 lead into the locker room. The Horned Frogs scored on eight of their first nine possessions to begin the second half and stretched the lead to 17 points at 60-43 at the 3:58 mark of the period.
After shooting 0-3 from the field in the first half, Conner found her stroke in the third. She netted 11 points and converted 5-6 looks.
Arizona State (8-19, 2-13 Big 12) trimmed the Horned Frogs' lead down to nine, 71-62, with 5:18 remaining. TCU endured a scoring drought spanning more than three minutes.
Conner converted three straight attempts from distance over the game's final 3:20.
TCU connected at a 61 percent clip (27-44) from the field over the first three quarters and shot 59 percent in the second half.
Hunter netted all 10 of her points in the first half and entered the locker room with five assists and three rebounds. Her efforts helped off an uncharacteristically cold 20-minute spell for Conner and Van Lith, who were a combined 2-13 from the field.
TCU used an 8-0 run to assume a 19-8 lead eight minutes into the affair.
The Horned Frogs assisted on 15 of 17 buckets in the first half and finished with 23.
TCU dominated the paint on both ends. The Frogs finished with a 38-18 advantage in points in the paint behind Prince and six first half points from Deasia Merrill. TCU out-rebounded Arizona State 42-26.
The Sun Devils were led by a game-high 25 points from Ty Skinner. Arizona State dressed just eight players.
