
TCU Heads to Kansas City for Big 12 Women's Basketball Media Day

Olivia Miles, Maddie Scherr and Marta Suarez to join head coach Mark Campbell
FORT WORTH – TCU returns to Kansas City for the first time since winning the Big 12 Championship on Tuesday for Big 12 Women's Basketball Media Day presented by New Era.
Olivia Miles, Maddie Scherr and Marta Suarez will accompany head coach Mark Campbell to the T-Mobile Center for the preseason showcase event.
Coverage on the main set will air on ESPNU and ESPN+ from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Campbell, the reigning Big 12 Coach of the Year, and the three players will visit with TV talent Matt Schick, Brooke Weisbrod, Anne O'Neil and Rachel Galligan from 1:10-1:20 p.m.
The Horned Frogs will participate in a roundtable interview on stage with Missy Heidrick earlier in the morning. Campbell and all three players will be available for pool and one-on-one interviews with local and national media in attendance. The remainder of the morning includes a series of photoshoots, social videos and interviews with ESPN.com, FOX, Turner, Bleacher Report, TuneIn Radio and The Players Tribune. Players will also participate in a black carpet arrival walk and have access to a Sports Illustrated Swim Beauty Bar and co-branded media gifts from New Era as a part of new enhancements.
Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark will speak at 12:10 p.m.
TCU was picked first in the Preseason Big 12 Coaches Poll after pitching a clean sweep of the conference's regular season and tournament championships in 2024-25. Miles was tabbed Preseason Newcomer of the Year and was a unanimous Preseason All-Big 12 team selection.
The Horned Frogs closed conference play on a 10-game winning streak en route to securing the university's first Big 12 basketball championships. TCU defeated Baylor 64-59 on March 9 inside the T-Mobile Center in the Big 12 Championship final.
TCU opens the 2025-26 season at 4 p.m. on Nov. 6 against North Carolina A&T. The Frogs were tabbed No. 17 in the first Associated Press poll, their highest preseason ranking in program history.
