Horned Frogs set to host lone fall tournament
FORT WORTH – Defending national champion TCU beach volleyball is hitting the courts for the second time this fall as it hosts its annual Fall Challenge on Thursday and Friday at the TCU Beach Volleyball Courts.
Action is set to begin on Thursday with pool play at 9 a.m., with Friday's action kicking off at 9 a.m. as well.
TCU will have eight pairs competing at the event. Joining the Horned Frogs is Texas A&M – Corpus Christi with eight pairs and four pairs from Houston Christian.
Last weekend, TCU sent three pairs to compete at the Sand Coast Experts West Coast Championships. Emilia Saxne, Hannah Taylor, Anna Long, Stacy Reeves, Elea Beutel and Melina Mol all saw action in Manhattan Beach, California.
TCU is looking to continue the positive momentum from its incredible 2025 season, which saw the Horned Frogs win the program's first ever National Championship. In addition, the Frogs claimed the inaugural Big 12 Championship, marking the third consecutive conference crown for the program.
The 2025 season was a culmination of sustained success over multiple seasons. Dating back to 2020, TCU is the second-winningest program in collegiate beach volleyball with 174 total wins. This decade, the Horned Frogs are averaging almost 33 wins per season (excluding the COVID-shortened season in 2020).
