No.1 TCU set to take on No. 5 Auburn and No. 6 Georgia
FORT WORTH – The No.1 TCU equestrian team is headed to Auburn, Ala., and Athens, Ga., for two top-10 matchups against No. 5 Auburn and No. 6 Georgia.
The Horned Frogs will kick off the weekend in Auburn on Friday, Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. against the Tigers. TCU's last visit to Auburn was in Oct. 2019, where they fell 4-15. The Frogs currently hold a 2-9 overall record against the Tigers. Competition will begin with Flat and Reining followed by Fences and Horsemanship.
Following their matchup with Auburn, the Horned Frogs will head to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the UGA Equestrian Center. The teams last met at a neutral site, with the Frogs edging out the Bulldogs 8-7. This will mark TCU's first time competing in Athens since the 2011-2012 season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Frogs opened their season last week against the No.1 SMU Mustangs, securing a close victory with a 10-10 tie-breaking score. Ashleigh Scully and Ella Bostwick both achieved new career highs in the Fences, each marking scores of 92. Shea Graham took home the MOP honors, scoring a 70 with her ride on Britney.
