Horned Frogs to shoot six home matches
FORT WORTH – TCU women's rifle head coach Karen Monez has announced the release of the 2024-25 schedule. The Horned Frogs will shoot six of their 14 matches at home in the TCU Rifle Range.
The defending National Champions will kick off the season on Sept. 21 at Navy with a triangular match against the Midshipmen and VMI. It'll mark the fourth consecutive year that TCU has opened the season in Annapolis, Md.
After a nearly one month hiatus, the squad will return to action with matches over five consecutive weeks to close out the fall season. First up is an Oct. 20 match against Georgia Southern that will take place at Army in West Point, N.Y. The following week on Oct. 26, TCU will head to UTEP.
The Horned Frogs lone home match in the fall is slated for Nov. 2 against Nebraska.
Two matches against perennial NCAA teams will wrap up the fall campaign. TCU will head to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. for a match against Alaska-Fairbanks on Nov. 10. The Frogs will then travel to Morgantown, W. Va. for a Nov. 16 meeting with West Virginia.
The spring campaign kicks off at home on Jan. 19. TCU will shoot against Ohio State on back-to-back days while also hosting UTEP on Jan. 19. The three match homestand concludes on Jan. 25 against Georgia Southern.
February starts with a neutral site meeting against VMI. The squads will shoot at the ARL-FX Sills Range in Centreville, Va. on Feb. 1.
TCU will look to defend its Patriot Rifle Conference Championship Feb. 8-9 in Fort Wayne, Ind. The Frogs final road match of the season is set for Feb. 15 at Ole Miss where they will shoot against the Rebels and Murray State.
Two home matches against Air Force will close out the regular season. The Falcons and Frogs will fire a dual match on Feb. 20 before shooting in the NCAA Qualifier on Feb. 22.
The Horned Frogs will be seeking their 19th straight appearance in the National Championship match. The championships will be held in Lexington, Ky. March 14-15.
