TCU qualified 26 entries to the NCAA West First Round. Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn a berth into the NCAA West First Rounds. In addition, the best 24 relay times advance to the NCAA preliminaries.

Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West First Rounds sites will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

The four-day NCAA West First Rounds will have men's competition on Wednesday and Friday while women's competition will be held on Thursday and Saturday.

Irene Jepkemboi leads the Frogs as the highest seed in their respective event – entering at No. 5 in the women's javelin with her Kenyan-national record 57.23m (187-9). Iyana Gray (11.13) ranks sixth in the 100m while Gracie Morris' time of 4:10.35 also earned her a No. 6 ranking in the 1500m.

The 4x100 squad's season-best 43.43, which earned them silver at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, earned them the No. 6 seed as well in the NCAA West First Round.
