Horned Frogs begin play in Iowa City on Saturday
FORT WORTH – TCU continues its season on Saturday at the Hawkeye Invitational at Finkbrine Golf Club in Iowa City, Iowa.
The 16-team field will play 54 holes over two days with 36 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. There will be a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. each day.
The Horned Frogs will go with the lineup of Toby Wilt, Jack Beauchamp, Andrew Petruzzelli, Ethan Dial and Chris Berzina.

Central Arkansas, Creighton, Drake, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri State, Murray State, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, TCU, Kansas City, Wichita State and Wisconsin.

THE COURSE – Par 71 | 7,197 yards
Finkbine Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course that is home to the University of Iowa Men's and Women's golf teams. Finkbine spreads over 200 acres of rolling Iowa terrain. The course features Bentgrass greens, tees, tree-lined fairways, 50+ well-manicured sand traps and a signature hole (the par-3, 13th) that offers a double green with a tee shot over the lone water feature on the course. Finkbine Golf Course is owned by the University of Iowa Athletic Department and is named after W.O. Finkbine, who donated the land to the University of Iowa. Finkbine Golf Course is managed by Troon Golf.
In 2022, the Des Moines Register ranked Finkbine the No. 5 public access course in the state of Iowa. Finkbine was the site of the 2002 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships.

- Toby Wilt led the Horned Frogs last time out at The Goodwin. He shot 9-over 219.
- Gustav Frimodt, who is nursing an injury, has led TCU in every tournament he's played this season and has five top 20 finishes.
- Frimodt started this season by earning co-medalist honors at the Valero Texas Collegiate in the opener. He was also ninth at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate and 12th at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.
- Frimodt ranks 12th in the latest PGA Tour University Rankings. The PGA Tour University Ranking is the mechanism to determine which graduating seniors earn automatic access to PGA TOUR-sanctioned circuits. FULL RANKINGS
- Frimodt ranks 29th in the latest World Amateur Ranking.
- Frimodt is on the Ben Hogan Award Watch List and the Haskins Award Watch List.
- Of Frimodt's 21 rounds of golf this season, 17 were scored at even or below par.

- Former TCU golfer Cole Buck joined Allcorn's staff as associate head coach in June. Buck graduated in 2017 from TCU and spent the past three seasons as an assistant at Stanford.
