Honor is third of his career
IRVING, Texas - Fresh off a thrilling match-clincher against No. 10 Texas, Jake Fearnley was named Big 12 Player of the Week for Feb. 26-March 3.
This marks the third time Fearnley has won the award.
Fearnley earned the biggest win of his collegiate career on Saturday when he defeated No. 1 Eliot Spizzirri of Texas, 4-6, 7-6 [8-6], 6-4, to polish off No. 2 TCU's 4-3 home victory over the Longhorns.
In 2024, Fearnley is 9-1 overall in singles play and a perfect 6-0 against ranked foes. He has played every match on court one.
Fearnley owns a career record of 76-29 in singles and 63-29 in doubles. Fearnley has accumulated 43 combined ranked wins over his five-year TCU tenure.
The Horned Frogs are back in action Sunday against No. 25 Baylor. First serve is at noon.
