Frogs to face No. 15 Stanford on Friday, No. 6 Tennessee on Sunday
FORT WORTH - Top ranked college tennis arrives this weekend in Funky Town as TCU prepares for a pair of top-15 duals.
The fifth-ranked Horned Frogs host to No. 15 Stanford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday before facing and No. 6 Tennessee at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
TCU (3-0) enters the weekend after clinching its sixth straight ticket to the ITA Indoor National Championships, held from Feb. 16-19 in New York City.
Friday's match between TCU and Stanford will be a battle of two of the best lineups in college tennis, as the teams have a combined six players featured in the top-65 of the ITA singles rankings.
TCU has history with Tennessee on the indoor courts. The last time the Horned Frogs lost an indoor match was at the hands of the Volunteers, 4-3, in Fort Worth on Jan. 16, 2022. TCU got the last laugh exactly one month later as it defeated Tennessee, 4-1 to claim the program's first ITA Indoor National Championship. The Horned Frogs waxed the Volunteers 4-1 on Feb. 2, 2023, on Rocky Top in the programs' most recent match.
