This is the last opportunity to qualify for NCAA Individual Championships
FORT WORTH - The TCU women's tennis team will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan to play in the ITA Sectional Championships from Nov. 7-10.
This event will be the Frogs' last chance to qualify for NCAA Individual Championships which take place Nov. 19-24 at Baylor.
Four Frogs will appear at Sectionals, competing in both the singles and doubles draws. The doubles pairings of Jade Otway and Isabel Pascual, along with Tomi Main and Yu-Chin Tsai, will compete in the main doubles draw. Jade Otway will compete in the singles draw.
"We are grateful to be at Sectionals with four players having an opportunity to qualify for Nationals, said head coach Lee Taylor Walker. "Our team has worked really hard this fall and I like our chances to make it through. Really proud of them all and pumped to be out there on court with them tomorrow."
Otway and Pascual are ranked 12th nationally, coming off of a semifinal appearance at ITA Texas Regionals. Main and Tsai are 47th in the country and were the runners-up at ITA Regionals in October.
The tournament will feature 16 doubles teams and 32 singles players. The four semi-finalists and two quarterfinal playoff winners from the singles draw will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. For the doubles draw, the champion, finalist and third place teams will all qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
The draws and results can be found on the ITA page.
