Seniors shine on Senior Day
The Horned Frogs (7-4, 5-3) started fast with a Bud Clark interception on the game's opening snap and never trailed in winning for the fourth time in their last five games.
Leading 14-13, TCU took a 21-13 lead and momentum into the locker room at the half when Savion Williams received a direct snap on a 4th-and-1 and raced 20 yards into the end zone for his second rushing touchdown of the game. The previous play saw a Josh Hoover to JP Richardson completion for 24 yards on a 3rd-and-25.
Williams ran for two scores while rushing for a career-high 80 yards. He added three receptions for 16 yards.
Richardson topped 100 yards receiving for the second straight game with 107 on six catches, including a 38-yard touchdown, while Jack Bech became just the fifth Horned Frog in history with a 1,000-yard season with his three catches for 25 yards. He's at 1,007 on the year.
After Clark's interception on the game's first snap, the Horned Frogs drove 37 yards in just five plays to take a 7-0 lead on a 4-yard scoring run by Trent Battle. It was a lead they would not relinquish.
TCU scored touchdowns on its first four possessions of the second half to break the game open.
