
Women's Tennis Hosts Jae Foundation Fall Open

FORT WORTH - The Horned Frogs will host the TCU Jae Foundation Fall Open at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center from Oct. 31-Nov. 3.
Two Horned Frogs will be competing in the singles tournament, Helena Narmont and Raquel Caballero Chica.
The tournament will include some of the best teams in the nation, such as last year's national champion, Texas A&M, and eleven other schools who also qualified for the NCAA championships last year.

Following the invitational, TCU will have two more opportunities to qualify for NCAA Individual Championships in November. The ITA Conference Masters (Nov. 7-10) will have a draw size of 32 singles and 32 doubles with the four singles semifinalists and the top three doubles teams qualifying for NCAAs. The ITA Sectional Championship (Nov. 7-10) will have a draw size of 32 singles and 16 doubles – six singles players from each section (24 total) and three doubles teams from each section (12 total) will qualify for NCAAs. The NCAA Individual Championship will take place from Nov. 19-24 at Baylor University.
"We have four girls who are qualified for ITA Sectionals so far, which is a big deal for us," said Walker. "We're inching one step closer to NCAAs and we are excited to keep proving ourselves in future tournaments."
