TCU hosts inaugural event from Monday-Tuesday at Ridglea Country Club
FORT WORTH – TCU women's golf is finally coming home.
The Horned Frogs are hosting the inaugural Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate from Monday-Tuesday at Ridglea Country Club North in their final tournament of 2024.
The 54-hole affair is free and open to the public. The 11-team field includes a trio of conference colleagues in Baylor, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, regional rival SMU and perennial NCAA Championship contenders Texas A&M and Wake Forest.
Nearly 20 years have elapsed since TCU last sponsored a stroke play event. TCU was the host school for the Conference USA Championship on April 19-21, 2004, at Shady Oaks Country Club.
TCU's most recent home tournaments took place in April 2021 in a pair of match play events vs. Baylor and North Texas at Shady Oaks and Hawks Creek Golf Course.
All seven players on the Horned Frogs' roster are teeing it up. TCU is rolling with a lineup of Kirstin Angosta, Camille Min-Gaultier, Sofie Dimitrova, Sofia Barroso Sá and Meagan Winans. Gracie McGovern and Charlotte Cattaneo are entered as individuals.
The Horned Frogs are looking to put a bow on a remarkable fall season in front of the home faithful. TCU soared to No. 23 in the latest Scoreboard team rankings on the strength of a pair of tournament titles. The Horned Frogs won the Jim West Invitational on Oct. 21 in San Marcos and claimed the crown at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in September in Nicholasville, Ky. TCU has finished no worse than sixth in each of its four fall invitationals.

- TCU has held the No. 23 Scoreboard team ranking for two consecutive weeks.
- The Horned Frogs' triumph at the Jim West Challenge marked the first time since 2018-19 the program has won two team championships in the same season.
- TCU claimed its 54th all-time tournament title and 20th under head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin with its Jim West Challenge triumph.
- The Horned Frogs finished a season-best 22-under (842) to win the Jim West Challenge by one stroke over No. 26 Houston. TCU shot a 281 (-7) in rounds one and two and was tied for first entering the final 18 holes.
- TCU won its first tournament title in six years with its triumph at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on Sept. 11 at the PGA Tour Keene Trace Golf Club. The Horned Frogs finished seven-over (871) and won by a 12-stroke margin. TCU played even-par golf over its final 36 holes.
- TCU's birdie game has blossomed through three tournaments in 2024-25. Six players have tallied a combined 173 birdies. The Horned Frogs birdied 53 holes in its Jim West Challenge championship. TCU bagged a tournament-leading 39 birdies on their way to the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational championship. At the Carmel Cup, TCU carded 29 of its 42 birdies over the final two rounds.
- The Horned Frogs have notched a combined six top-10's and 12 top-20's over four tournaments.
- TCU notched a season-high four top-20's at the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 21-23. All four players finished even or under par.
- The Horned Frogs have recorded their low round score in the final round in 11 of their last 14 events dating back to the 2023-24 campaign.

- Ravaioli-Larkin is in her 31st season as the head coach of TCU women's golf. A lifelong Texan, Ravaioli-Larkin is the longest tenured head coach at TCU.

TCU Lineup
- Angosta won the Jim West Challenge with a 10-under 206. She became TCU's first medalist in two seasons. The sophomore birdied three of her four final holes to win the tournament by one stroke and ahead of six players who finished nine-under.
- She ascended from 77th to a career-best 55th in the Scoreboard individual rankings following her performance in San Marcos.
- Angosta is making her 11th straight start as a Horned Frog. She teed it up in all six of TCU's spring tournaments in 2023-24.
- From nearby Coppell High School, Angosta is riding three straight top-20 finishes into Ridglea Hills.
- She leads TCU in scoring average (71.6).
- Angosta shot two-under 70 in the first and third rounds on her way to an outright runner-up finish at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational. The performance signified her second career top-10.
- Angosta holds TCU's season records for low round (66, -4) and low-54
- Angosta parred Pebble Beach in round three of the Carmel Cup. She was TCU's biggest riser in the tournament in the final round. She jumped from 35th and into a tie for 26th (+14, 230).
- She tallied a team-leading 55 birdies during the spring portion of the 2023-24 season.
- Angosta tied for sixth at The Chevron Collegiate in February, shooting a nine-under 207.
- Angosta has posted seven top-30 finishes in 10 career starts.

Sofia Barroso Sá
- Barroso Sá leads TCU in counters (11-11) and is tied for the team-high in birdies (38), par-or-better rounds (seven) and top-20's (three)
- The junior is TCU's active career leader in every major statistical category, including birdies (222), par-or-better rounds (32), sub-70 rounds (10), top-20's (11) and top-10's (four). She ranks fourth in school history in sub-70 rounds.
- Barroso Sá sports a present Scoreboard ranking of No. 108.
- Barroso Sá has placed inside top-20 in three of her four starts this season. She tied for third at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational at even-par (216) to register her fourth career top-10 finish.
- Barroso Sá has scored par or better in seven of her 11 rounds played this season.
- She has turned in a countable score in 74-of-75 (.986) of her career rounds played.
- Barroso Sá bagged four birdies and shot an even-par 72 on the final day of the Carmel Cup to tie for 16th. She ascended seven spots on the leaderboard in round three.

- Barroso Sá won the Barbara Nicklaus Cup individual title as a freshman in 2022-23. She is the only Horned Frog freshman to win a tournament in the last six seasons dating back to 2018.
- The Portugal native will make her 28th straight start at Ridglea. She has teed it up in every tournament in her TCU tenure.

- McGovern competed at the LPGA Liberty National Tournament in 2023 and was paired with world No. 10 Charley Hull in her final round.
