
Men's Swim and Dive Defeat No. 24 SMU

The Frogs grabbed a 37-point victory against SMU on Friday
FORT WORTH – The TCU men's swimming and diving team defeated No. 24 SMU on Friday night, 168.5 to 131.5. Kito Camossato shined in the Frogs home opener, placing first in the 100 and 200 breaststroke this evening.
The 200 medley relay team of Edgar Cicanci, Jadon Wuilliez, Nigel Forbes, and Peter Horton started the evening off with a win, out touching SMU with a 1:26.14.
In the first individual event of the evening, Aaron Wilmes placed second in the 1000 freestyle with the third-best time in program history of 9:08.39. The trio of Forbes, Cicanci, and Elliott Jones had a podium sweep with first, second, and third place finishes in the 100 backstroke.
Camossato grabbed his first win of the night in the 100 breaststroke with a 53.13. Wuilliez followed behind for the second place finish at 53.23. Geremia Freri then grabbed a win in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:46. 51.
Horton had an outstanding 50 freestyle, with a best-time of 20.16 and tying for first place. Cicanci followed up with a first place finish in the 200 backstroke and Camossato grabbed his second win in the 200 breaststroke.
Forbes and freshman Viktor Hristov finished first and second, respectively, in the 100 butterfly to round out the individual wins.
TCU A relay team of Luke Dimiceli, Wuilliez, Cicanci, and Horton finished the night off with an electric win in the 400 freestyle relay, followed by TCU B relay team in second place.
In diving, Bryn James and David Ekdahl took second and third, respectively, in the 3-meter. Ekdahl placed second and James placed third in the 1-meter with scores of 375.60 and 327.15.
UP NEXT
The women's swimming and diving team will host SMU and Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 1. They will then travel to Dallas on Nov. 2 to compete against SMU and Arkansas.
