
Women's Swim and Dive Dominate Day One of Tri-Meet

The TCU women’s swimming and diving team defeated both SMU and Arkansas in Friday’s tri-meet, highlighted by ten first place finishes from the Frogs
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's swimming and diving team defeated both SMU and Arkansas in Friday's tri-meet, highlighted by ten first place finishes from the Frogs. TCU dominated, scoring 146 points against Arkansas (83 points) and 164 points against SMU (67 points).
The Horned Frogs started off strong with a first and second place finish in the 200 medley relay, paced by TCU A Team of Rylee Moore, Claire Chahbandour, Maddy Burt, and Serena Gould.
Amelia Snyder and Seanna Muhitch took care of business in the 200 freestyle, finishing with times of 1:52.08 and 1:52.32, respectively. Freshman Karolin Victoria Kotsar took first in the 200 IM followed by Colby Hurt who placed second.
In her first home meet as a Frog, Maddy Burt touched first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.05. Olivia Rhodes had a first place finish of her own in the 100 freestyle, touching in 51.22.
Jordan Edwards did what she does best, placing first in the 500 freestyle. Moore and Kiaha McCool placed first and second, respectively, in the 100 backstroke to add to the Frogs' point total. Chahbandour and Ella Stein did the same, finishing first and second in the 100 breaststroke, rounding out the individual events this evening.
TCU's A Team of Gould, Muhitch, Caelan Burt, and Kotsar closed things out with a win in the 400 freestyle relay.
On the diving board, Anna Kwong shined with a second place finish in the 3-meter and a first place finish in the 1-meter. She scored at least 330 points in each event – 341.75 on the 3m and 334.05 on the 1m.
The Frogs will travel to SMU tomorrow, Nov. 2, for day two of the tri-meet featuring Arkansas and SMU. Live results will be available on Meet Mobile.
