Schedule features five games against 2022 NCAA Tournament teams
FORT WORTH – TCU head coach Eric Bell has announced the 2023 women's soccer schedule. The 18-game schedule features 10 home matches and eight road contests. Last season, the Horned Frogs made their seventh straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to their third consecutive Sweet 16.
The 2023 campaign gets underway on Aug. 17 when TCU hosts Metroplex rival SMU. Perennial NCAA Tournament participant and three-time national champions Florida State heads to Fort Worth on Aug. 20 for a Sunday night showdown.
TCU's tough slate of non-conference games continues as it hits the road for the first time for a Sunday afternoon tilt at Penn State on Aug. 27. The month of August concludes with UAB at home on Aug. 31.
A road-heavy September slate will see the Frogs play five of eight games away from home. The month kicks off with a home match against Texas A&M on Sept. 3. Five of TCU's next six games will be road tilts starting with a weekend trip to Indiana to take on Purdue (Sept. 7) and Butler (Sept. 10).
Big 12 play begins with three straight road matches around a final home non-conference tilt on Sept. 17 against SFA. The conference opener is set for Sept. 14 at league newcomer BYU. TCU returns to Big 12 play at conference newcomer Cincinnati on Sept. 21. The road trip concludes at West Virginia (Sept. 24).
TCU will play five of its final seven regular season games at Garvey-Rosenthal. A three game homestand kicks off on Sept. 28 against Kansas State. Oklahoma State (Oct. 1) and Kansas (Oct. 5) round out the homestand.
The Frogs will head to Lubbock for a meeting with Texas Tech (Oct. 8). Two home games follow as Big 12 newcomer Houston heads to Fort Worth on Oct. 12. TCU's final home game is set for Oct. 15 against Baylor. A trip to Austin to take on Texas (Oct. 23) closes out the regular season.
