
Three Horned Frogs Advance to NCAA West Quarterfinals

Gray, Morris and Muhammad-Graham qualify for Saturday’s quarterfinals
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Three Horned Frogs successfully clinched spots in Saturday's quarterfinals on Day Two of the NCAA West Regional at Hornet Stadium at Fred Anderson Field.
Kicking things off for the Frogs was Gracie Morris in the 1500m. She finished second overall in her heat with her time of 4:18.59 to automatically qualify for the quarterfinals. Morris is looking to make her second appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships as she qualified in the 1500m last season.
Also notching a big day was sophomore sprinter Iyana Gray. Gray ran an automatic-qualifying time of 11.40 in the 100m as she took third in her heat. She also advanced in the 200m, snagging the last qualifying spot with her time of 23.44. She is the only Frog to advance in multiple events.
Jasmin Muhammad-Graham ran a personal-best time of 2:06.66 in the 800m to place 19th overall and advance to Saturday's quarterfinals. It's the first individual NCAA West First Round Quarterfinal appearance for Muhammad-Graham.
Sydney Juszczyk wrapped up her sophomore campaign in the javelin. The 2023 Big 12 Champion finished 30th overall with her throw of 46.31m (151' 11").
In the women's long jump, Emma Seetoo placed 27th with her leap of 6.00m (3.4w). Dreunna Washington took 32nd with her jump of 5.96m. Samarra Monrroy finished 37th overall in the 400m with her time of 53.57.
