She took the first set with a late surge 6-4. In the second, the senior swept the Cowgirls' Zehender 6-0.
With the match clinching point yet to be decided, Martins, Tsai and Narmont remained in control of their matches respectivley. Narmont was the first to cap off a victory (6-4, 6-1). Her win on court six punched TCU's ticket to the finals.
After the match head coach Lee Taylor Walker was proud of his team's poise in the face of a deficit.
"Proud of the composure our team had today. We knew that Wyoming was a good doubles team, and that it was possible for them to grab that point. The ladies didn't let it bother them, kept their poise, and took care of everything in singles in a dominant fashion. In any championship match, it's important that the proper balance of respect for opponent is taken into the court. We are facing a confident Stetson team that just won two solid matches to get here. They can play and we need to respect their level and be ready. On the other hand, we have to attack the courts with energy, enthusiasm, confidence and swagger, being willing to leave it all out there on the court with no regrets. I'm confident our team is primed to take home this inaugural NIT Championship."
Up Next: The Frogs will matchup with Stetson on Saturday, May 20 for the first ever NIT Championship.
