
Three Events Advance to Penn Relays Championships

Gray, the women's 4x100 and the men's 4x400 shine
PHILADELPHIA – TCU's sprinters shined on Day Two of the Penn Relays, with three Horned Frog events advancing to the championships.
The women's 4x100 team of Dreunna Washington, Iyana Gray, Samarra Monrroy and Emma Seetoo clocked the fourth-fastest time (45.14) in the prelims to advance to Saturday's finals. The race is projected to start at 1:10 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 29.
Gray also advanced to the 100m finals. She ran the third-fastest time in the prelims with her time of 11.71 to move on to Saturday's finals.
In the men's 4x400 relay, the team of Ethan Brown, Donnie James, David Seete and Ryan Jordan edged off Clemson to win their heat and automatically qualify for tomorrow's finals with their time of 3:12.14. Headed down the home stretch, Jordan was able to hold off Clemson's anchor and snatch the win.
Emmanuel Ekong, James, Jais Smith and Gregory Sholars narrowly missed the 4x100 finals. The squad placed 10th overall in the prelims with their time of 41.55.
