Emanuel Miller leads the Frogs with 17 points
STILLWATER, Okla. - TCU came back from a 19-point deficit before falling, 79-73, at Oklahoma State Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Horned Frogs (17-6, 6-4), which trailed 12-0, were down as many as 19 points, 48-29, with 18:50 remaining in the game. A put back by Emanuel Miller capped a 15-1 run, and cut the deficit to five points, 49-44, with 13:43 to play. Miller finished with a game-high 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including one 3-pointer.
TCU took its first lead of the game, 60-59, with 5:08 remaining, following a free throw from Miller. A minute later, Souleymane Doumbia helped regain the lead with his only points of the game to make it 65-63, with 3:57 to play.
Out of a timeout, Oklahoma State (14-9, 5-5) scored eight unanswered points to lead by seven with just over two minutes remaining. A layup by JaKobe Coles, who finished with 15 points, and a 3-pointer by Shahada Wells cut it to two, 72-70, with 1:25 to play.
TCU made one of its next four shot attempts and OSU made its only field goal attempt in the final 52 seconds and was 3-of-4 from the free throw line.
Wells finished with 14 points and four steals. Baugh had 12 points, a team-high six points and five assists. O'Bannon rounded out the double-figure scorers with 11 points.
The Horned Frogs shot 88.2 percent (15-17) from the free throw line, their second best of the season.
TCU will return to action on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at No. 7 Kansas State. It will be shown on ESPNU.
