
Frogs Fall in Close Contest to Baylor

Taiwo leads Frogs with 17 points, Cravens scores a season-high 14 points
FORT WORTH - Tomi Taiwo scored a team-leading 17 points in TCU's 67-57 loss to Baylor on Wednesday night in Schollmaier Arena. It was Baylor's smallest margin of victory against the Frogs since Feb. 10, 2016.
The Rundown
Bella Cravens scored TCU's first six points of the game and trailed Baylor 7-6 in the opening minutes. The Horned Frogs took their first lead of the game, 13-12, with 3:16 remaining in the first quarter after Emily Fisher nailed a jumper. TCU led the rest of the first quarter and finished the period up 20-17.
Baylor started the second quarter on a 9-0 run and led throughout the rest of the game. TCU was outscored in the second period 22-11 and trailed by eight at the half.
TCU continued to keep it a close game in the second half. Bre'Yon White scored a driving layup and cut the Baylor lead to two with 4:38 left in the third quarter, but the Bears continued to build on their lead.
The Frogs cut the Baylor lead to five points two separate times in the fourth quarter. TCU trailed by just five points with 4:04 remaining, but Baylor went on a 5-0 run to give the Bears a 10-point lead.

• Baylor's 10-point win was the smallest margin against TCU since the Bears won 81-75 on Feb. 10, 2016.
• TCU's defense caused Baylor to have 21 turnovers, tied for the second-most by the Bears all season.
