
Big Shooting Day Lifts No. 22 TCU to 100-75 Win over OSU

Frogs record the third-best shooting percentage in program history
FORT WORTH - The third-best shooting performance in program history and a return of Mike Miles Jr. lifted No. 22 TCU to a 100-75 win over Oklahoma State Saturday in Schollmaier Arena.
The Horned Frogs (18-9, 7-7) had the Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year back in the lineup after missing five games with a right knee injury. Miles played 35 minutes and scored 15 points as the Frogs won their sixth-straight game in Fort Worth over the Cowboys (16-11, 7-7).
Damion Baugh recorded his third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 assists. Emanuel Miller led the Frogs with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting and had five assists. Shahada Wells shot 6-of-9 from the field and scored 15 points. Micah Peavy added 10 points and was 2-of-3 from 3-point range.
TCU poured on the offense early and often shooting 68.4 percent from the field. That number was .2 shy of the record for a Big 12 Conference game, which was set by Oklahoma State in 1998.
After a back-and-forth start, the Frogs went on a 10-0 run with close to five minutes left in the first half. TCU ultimately took the lead with 10:24 left in the first half and kept it for the remainder of the game.
TCU went into halftime with a 47-27 lead on 65.4 percent shooting with the help of a 5-of-8 effort from 3-point range.
The Horned Frogs did even better in the second half, shooting 71 percent from the field. TCU continued to get layups and plenty of the points inside, outscoring OSU 50-20 in the paint. The Frogs finished with 28 points on 39 made baskets and snapped a four-game losing skid.
TCU hosts No. 5 Kansas on Monday at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

- Mike Miles played for the first time in four games. He scored 15 points, his 18th game this season in double-digits out of 19 played.
- Miles' 15 points moved him to 21st in career scoring at TCU with 1,155, surpassing JD Miller's 1,153.
- Micah Peavy scored 10 points, his 10th game this season in double-digits.
- Peavy was 2-of-3 from 3-point range. The two 3-pointers ties a career-high. It was his fourth-straight game with a made 3-pointer, the longest streak of his career.
- JaKobe Coles had six points on 2-of-2 shooting from the field and 1-of-1 from 3-point range. He's had a 3-pointer in four of the last five games.
- Damion Baugh recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists, his third double-double this season.
