- Monday's matchup marks the 11th straight year TCU has played its season-opener along the friendly streets of Stadium Dr.
- The Horned Frogs have won 10 consecutive season and home-opening games, a streak that dates back to the 2013-14 season.
- TCU staged its 2017-18 season and home-opener vs. Oral Roberts, defeating the Golden Eagles 72-58.
- Mark Campbell is set to make his TCU head coaching debut. Campbell was named the eighth head coach in program history on March 21. TCU head coaches are 5-2 all-time in their first game donning the purple and white.
- TCU will implement the spread pick-n-roll in 2023-2024. The offensive philosophy paid dividends during Campbell's two-year tenure at Sacramento State. Last winter, the Hornets led the NCAA in pick-n-rolls while ranking fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (38.5), 10th in field goal percentage (46.5) and 11th in 3-point field goals per game (8.9).
- TCU was picked to finish ninth in the Preseason Big 12 Coaches Poll, ahead of Texas Tech, Houston, BYU, Cincinnati and UCF.
- Sedona Prince was selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team on Oct. 3. She became the fourth Horned Frog and first since Lauren Heard in 2021 to garner Preseason All-Big 12 accolades.
- Prince was also one of 20 centers named to the Lisa Leslie Award watch list on Oct. 20. The 6-7 graduate student is the first player in program history to receive the recognition.
- The Horned Frogs lost 68 percent of their scoring production from 2022-23. However, TCU's six transfers combined to average 58.3 points per outing in their most recent season on the court. The average scoring output between the half-dozen players is 1.2 points fewer than TCU's season scoring average (59.5 ppg) last season.
- TCU signed three players featured in the World Exposure Report's expanded top-100 transfer rankings in Prince, Jaden Owens and Madison Conner.
- Prince tallied a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds in TCU's closed-door scrimmage on Oct. 15 at Texas A&M.
- TCU led for more than 25 minutes and by as many as 14 points during the first half of a closed-door scrimmage at Arkansas on Oct. 22.
- The Horned Frogs knocked down 13-27 attempts (48 percent) from behind the arc in Fayetteville. Four players finished with two-or-more made 3-point field goals.
- Conner poured in 20 points in just 21 minutes vs. the Razorbacks. The junior shot 7-14 from the field and 5-9 from downtown.
- Owens ranked third in the Big 12 in total assists (184), assists per game (5.8) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.0) in 2022-23 at Baylor. Owens started 30-of-32 games at point guard for the Bears. Her assist-per-game clip was 15th-best among all D1 players.
- Owens and Prince's arrivals mark the first time TCU has ever had two McDonald's All-American game participants on the same roster.
- Beginning with Monday's tilt, TCU will play five straight home games and 12 of its first 14 contests along Stadium Dr. The Horned Frogs do not have a true road game on the docket until Jan. 3.
- The Horned Frogs have finished with a winning overall record in six of their 11 seasons of Big 12 membership. TCU averaged 23 wins per year from 2017-2020.
