
TCU Breaks School Record for Low Round vs. Par at Jim West Invitational

The Horned Frogs shot 17-under (271) on the day three.
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Records are meant to be broken, and the Horned Frogs did just that on Tuesday.
TCU shattered its program record for low round vs. par on the final day of the Jim West Invitational in San Marcos, Texas. The Horned Frogs shot a 17-under 271 at Kissing Tree Golf Club.
"What a great round to end our fall," said head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin. "I am proud of their resilience through a tough fall season. I have known all along what this team is made of day in and day out. This gives us great momentum going into our 'off season' to prepare for an unforgettable spring. They are capable of so much more and we will work extremely hard to accomplish our dreams and goals!"
The Frogs once again were led by Lois Lau, who carded eight birdies on the day to finish the tournament at 14-under and finish third outright. Lau's highest finish of the season comes after a dominant 54-hole showing. Over three rounds of play, Lau sank 18 birdies and an eagle to add to her impressive season. Lau now ranks second in all-time birdies made in school history, passing Sanna Nuutinen with 329. She is just 29 birdies shy of overtaking Sabrina Iqbal as TCU's all-time leader.
Sofia Barroso Sa turned it up on the last day, shooting 7-under (65) while carding eight birdies. The sophomore broke her low-round score (65) on her way to a share of 14th place.
Meagan Winans took day three by storm, posting a 5-under (67) on the strength of five birdies. The junior recorded her best finish with the Frogs, placing T28th at 2-under.
Sofie Dimitrova finished at 10-over while Sheridan Clancy wrapped up the round for TCU at 25-over.
