
Preview: TCU to Compete in Final Regular Season Meet

Fort Worth: TCU swim and dive will compete in their last regular season meet of the year. The women's team will compete on Friday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. against Iowa State. The men's team will compete on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. versus Missouri State.

Both teams will swim at Nolan Catholic High School Natatorium in Fort Worth. The seniors will be honored approximately 15-20 minutes before both meets start.
Last Time Out:
The Frogs are looking to build off some stellar performances in Hawaii. The men's team edged Hawaii by a score of 140-122. The swim team finished the meet with nine total event victories.
Sophomore Geremia Freri won the 1000 freestyle (9:35.17) for the first win for the Frogs. Piotr Sadlowski edged out the field in the 100 fly (49.22). Freshman Edgar Cicanci won both backstroke events on the afternoon. In the 100 back, he swam 50.01 for first place. In the 200 back, Cicanci edged the field with a time of 1:49.55. Sophomore Milan Fabian displayed his versatility winning the gold in the 50 freestyle (20.85) and 500 freestyle (4:36.84). Raphael Paiva Da Lima finished right behind Fabian for second in the 50 freestyle. Jadon Wuilliez in the 50 breaststroke and Luke Dimiceli in the 200 fly finished in first place.
The Horned Frogs finished the meet with the top time in the 400 freestyle relay. Fabian, Wuilliez, Peter Horton and Paiva Da Lima touched the wall with a first-place time of 3:00.83.
Big 12 Awards:
This season alone, the Frogs have garnered 17 Big 12 weekly awards. Kwong has led the way accumulating three awards. Geremia Freri, Max Burman and Ekdahl have acquired two each. Olivia Rhodes (Jan. 11) and Jordan Edwards (Dec. 6) have both earned Swimmer of the Week awards. Edgar Cicanci and Peter Horton were each awarded Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 13 and Jan. 11 respectively.
