No. 2 TCU Takes on South Dakota State at Stock Show Spring Opener

FORT WORTH – The Frogs are taking their annual trip to John Justin Arena to take on the Jackrabbits on Thursday at 10 a.m.
The last time TCU saw SDSU was October 2021, when the Jackrabbits took the win in a raw score tiebreaker in Brookings. TCU's overall record against South Dakota State is 7-3, with a home record of 6-0.
At Thursday's meet, fans who wear purple will receive free admission into the venue.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
10 a.m. - First flat competitor begins
12:05 p.m. - First Reining competitor begins
2:15 p.m. - First Horsemanship competitor begins
4:45 p.m. - First Fences competitor begins
LAST TIME OUT
The Horned Frogs ended the Fall season with a victory over UC Davis at Bear Creek Farms, 15-5. This meet marked TCU's sixth win of the season, and eighth straight home win. It was also the Frogs' fourth win against a ranked team.
Jessica McAllister secured the MOP in Horsemanship with a 76.5 on Jake. In Flat, Laurel Smith got the MOP with an 82 on Lui. Ashleigh Scully got the MOP for the Fences with an 84 on Van. Mattie Dukes rode Snoop Dog for a 71, snagging the MOP for Reining.
UP NEXT
Next Friday, February 3, the Horned Frogs are hosting Auburn at Bear Creek Farms. TCU is 2-1 against the Tigers at home.

Six Horned Frogs have earned Big 12 Rider of the Month for their respective events. This honor is given to one rider in each event every month.
