NORMAN, Okla. – The TCU women's golf team will open its 2022-23 season at the Schooner Fall Classic, which will run Saturday, Sept. 24 through Monday, Sept. 26, at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla.

2021-22 HIGHLIGHTS: Played in 11 of 12 tournaments ... placed third on the team with a 74.3 stroke average ... had a pair of top-10 finishes, including a tie for seventh at the Jim West Challenge and a tie for 10th at the Clover Cup ... carded a career low 6-under 66 in final-round play to finish with a career best 8-under 208 at the Jim West Challenge ... posted a second-round 69 en route to a 4-under 212 at the Clover Cup ... had a final round 1-under 71 in tying for 19th at the Big 12 Championship ... led TCU with a second-round 73 at the NCAA Championship … First Team Academic All-Big 12.
Caitlyn Macnab | Sophomore | Johannesburg, South Africa
2021-22 HIGHLIGHTS: Her 71.5 stroke average broke the TCU record of 72.0 by Sabrina Iqbal in 2019-20 ... also set TCU season marks with 22 rounds of par or better, 130 birdies, seven eagles and 54-hole score with a 13-under 203 in finishing as the runner-up at the Jim West Challenge in just her third collegiate tournament ... had three second-place finishes on the season ... was also a runner-up with an 8-under 208 at the Clover Cup and a 4-under 212 at the Silverado Showdown ... tied for third with an 8-under 208 at the Mountain View Collegiate and a 4-over 217 at the Big 12 Championship ... totaled six top-10 finishes, including five in the top five ... her record-breaking final eagle of the season came in the third round at the NCAA Championship ... recorded nine rounds with a sub-70 score, placing second on the team ... shot under par in six tournaments ... TCU's top finisher in seven events ... played in all 12 tournaments ... finished 11th at the 2022 Augusta National Women's Amateur … Yearly honors included WGCA Honorable Mention All-American, All-Big 12 selection, WGCA Freshman of the Year Watch List, First Team Academic All-Big 12, Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, and Augusta National Women's Amateur.
Sofia Barroso Sá | Freshman | Belmont, Portugal
2021-22 HIGHLIGHTS: Incoming freshman for the Horned Frogs … was the 2021 National Amateur and Absolute Champion … also tied for second at the 2021 German Girls Open and is a two-time Federation Cup winner … most recently she represented Portugal in the World Amateur Team Championships in France.
Sabrina Nguyen | Junior | Escondido, Calif.
2021-22 HIGHLIGHTS: Played in one tournament last season, carding a three-round score of 243 at the Mountain View Collegiate.
Charlotte Cattaneo | Freshman | Milan, Italy
2021-22 HIGHLIGHTS: Incoming freshman for the Horned Frogs … finished third at the 2021 Under 18 Match Play National Championship after capturing the event in 2019 … won the 2020 and 2019 U16 National Championship, as well as the 2019 English Girls U16 … took medalist honors at the 2018 International U14 Chantilly Challenge Alexis Godillot and 2017 English Girls U14.

TCU AT THE SCHOONER CLASSIC
The Horned Frogs will be competing in Norman at the Schooner Classic for a fourth straight year and for the sixth time in the past 10 years. TCU registered a sixth-place finish in the event last season. Macnab finished in a tie for 21st place (+4) and Lau tied for 68th place (+17). TCU's best finish in the event came back in 2020, when the Horned Frogs finished in a tie for second place. Lau, who was competing in her first collegiate tournament, finished in a tie for 12th place with a score of +6 (74-72-70=216).
