No. 12 TCU Plays To 1-1 Tie Against No. 23 Texas

Lancaster scored her third goal of the season
FORT WORTH – No. 12 TCU opened Big 12 play with a 1-1 draw against No. 23 Texas Thursday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. Camryn Lancaster scored the game-tying goal and Lauren Kellett finished the contest with six saves.
The Rundown
Down a goal late in the second half, Camryn Lancaster converted a penalty kick in the 70th minute to tie the contest at one. Messiah Bright drew the foul in the box, setting up Lancaster's equalizer.
The first half was a back-and-forth battle up until the 42nd minute. Texas' Holly Ward chipped a shot in right in front of the net to make it a 1-0 contest.
Kellett shined in the second half to keep the deficit at one. Her most impressive stop came in the 50th minute when she made a diving save to her right to prevent Texas from scoring on a free kick from about 20 yards out.
TCU nearly found the game-tying goal in the 53rd minute. Messiah Bright delivered a beautiful shot on the left side of the goal, but the Texas goalkeeper made the diving save.
The Frogs' best look in the final minutes of the contest came on a shot from Oli Pena in the 79th minute that trickled just wide.
