The Rundown

Kansas threatened throughout the second half, but Lauren Kellett held steady to make the stops. In the 75th minute, Kellett dove to her left and blocked a laser from Kansas' Avery Smith. She made another stellar play in the 83rd minute as she made a leaping save to prevent the Kansas equalizer.

Quotes of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
Overall thoughts on the game
"I thought we played a really good tactical game. We came out and did the things we were looking to do from an attacking and defensive perspective. We got into a rhythm really fast. It's hard to win in the conference, especially on the road and I'm happy we could come away with a win."
On Gracie Brian's ability to score
"I think that she's got the knack. They don't always look pretty, but she's figured out a way to be at the right place and the right time. Sometimes they go in and sometimes they don't, but she's always there when the ball is dropping or falling. She's always in the right place at the right time to give us a chance to score."
On Lauren Kellett's day
"She's super-duper athletic. She can do a lot of things because of her physical gifts. Hopefully she starts to get into a little bit of a rhythm now. The sky is the limit for her."
