Bright tallies both goals
FORT WORTH – No. 17 TCU tied No. 16 Harvard 2-2 Saturday night at Garvey-Rosenthal. Messiah Bright scored both goals for the Horned Frogs and Lauren Kellett made a season-high seven saves.
The Rundown
TCU jumped in front with a goal in the sixth minute. Chaylyn Hubbard's shot was deflected right to an open Messiah Bright, who turned and fired a laser into the net to give TCU the 1-0 lead.
Lauren Kellett made four quality saves in the first half. In the 12th minute, she made a diving stop to her right to keep the Crimson off the board.
TCU clung to its lead, but couldn't escape the half with the advantage. Harvard's Aslaug Gunnlaugsdottir broke away from defenders and shot a bullet from distance for the equalizer in the 45th minute.
Harvard pulled ahead in the 55th minute when Gunnlaugsdottir struck again. She once again broke free and fired a shot into the far upper corner to give the Crimson a 2-1 lead.
The Crimson missed an opportunity to go up 3-1 when a free kick attempt ricocheted off the crossbar. Two minutes later, Bright scored her second goal of the night on a beautiful feed from Hubbard in the 71st minute.
The last 20 minutes were a back-and-forth battle. Despite several quality looks for both teams, they settled for the tie.

Quote of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
Overall thoughts on the game
"Overall, from a fans' perspective it was a good college soccer game. From my perspective, I think it's an opportunity lost. When we score first, the expectation is to win the game. I don't want to discredit Harvard for making it hard, but when we score first the expectation is to win the game."
On Messiah Bright
"Messiah was Messiah tonight. She's a 1st-Team All-American for a reason and she showed that tonight. She had two fantastic goals tonight and that's what we expect from a fifth-year."
On Chaylyn Hubbard's ability to attack
"It was one of the best games she's played all season as far as getting forward in the attack and being aggressive. It's the expectation we have for her moving forward. She can do that for 90 minutes against the best teams in the country."
