
Bright Named United Soccer Coaches College Player of the Week

She is the second TCU player in program history to garner the award
FORT WORTH – Messiah Bright has been tabbed the United Soccer Coaches College Player of the Week after tallying four goals and one assist in wins over No. 16 Santa Clara and UTRGV.
Bright notched her second career hat trick against UTRGV and became the first player in program history to record two career hat tricks. She also tallied one goal and one assist to help lead the Horned Frogs over No. 16 Santa Clara. Bright was named this week's Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
She is the all-time leader in goals (43) and points (101). The 2021 United Soccer Coaches 1st-Team All-American currently leads the Big 12 Conference in goals (4) and points (9).
No. 6 TCU (3-0-1) heads to USC Thursday in Los Angeles. The contest, set for a 5 p.m (CST) start, will be televised on Pac-12 Insider. The Horned Frogs next home game is set for Sunday night at 7 when No. 6 TCU hosts No. 2 Duke in a Top 10 showdown at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.
