
TCU Picked First in Big 12 Preseason Poll

Frogs lead the way with seven first-place votes
FORT WORTH – In a vote by league coaches, the TCU soccer team was picked to finish first in the Big 12 Conference. The Horned Frogs earned 78 points and garnered seven first-place votes.
Texas was picked to finish second with 66 points and one first place vote. West Virginia (60), Texas Tech (53) and Oklahoma State (49) round out the top five. Oklahoma (40), which received the final first place vote was picked six. Baylor (34), Kansas (30), Iowa State (24) and Kansas State (16) completed the poll.
TCU took home the 2021 Big 12 regular season championship for the second consecutive year. The Frogs became the 10th team to claim both the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles in the same year. TCU finished the season with an overall record of 19-2-3 and advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for a second straight year.
The Frogs earned a league-high four Preseason All-Big 12 selections heading into the 2022 season in Messiah Bright, Gracie Brian, Lauren Kellett and Camryn Lancaster.
TCU will open the season on Aug. 18 against Wisconsin. First touch at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m. The contest will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
